Child Birthday Parties at Katie’s Clay Studio

Celebrate your child’s birthday with a fun, creative experience! A staff member will guide the group, assist with the project, and help keep things running smoothly.

Party Length:

Party time depends on the age of the children and the package selected:

Ages 8 & under: 1.5 hours
Ages 9 and older: 2 hours

Need more time? Additional time can be added for $50 per 30 minutes.

(Most parties fall between 1 hour and 2 hours, depending on the group and activity.)

For adult parties please contact the studio for more options. Party packages for adults would be package 4 or 5.

Important Party Information

Recommended Ages: 5 and older
Party Location: Parties are held in our party area, on the Clay side and open to the MAIN studio
(We no longer have a separate party room.) See below for more details on the space.
Studio is Open to the Public: The studio will remain open during your party unless you choose to rent the entire studio. See below for more details on the space.
Minimum Guests: Party packages require a minimum of 10 participants, no credit or refund given if the group falls under 10 participants.
Booking Fee: A $50 party fee is required to reserve your party date/time, a staff member and enables you to serve food to your guests if you wish.
✅ This fee is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
✅If party is canceled you will loose your party fee.

Paint Your Own Pottery Party Packages

Painting pottery packages starting at $415
✅ Ages 5+ welcome for painting pottery (under the age of 5 is not recommended.)

1) Bowl or Cup Party:

$415 + tax for up to 10 participants
Each additional participant: $32 + tax

2) Fun with Figurines Party: Most popular package over 60 different figures to choose from!

$425 + tax for up to 10 participants
Each additional participant: $33 + tax

3) Animal Plates Party

$450 + tax for up to 10 participants
Each additional participant: $40 + tax
⚠️ This package can be challenging. We recommend a maximum of 12 participants and strongly suggest it for ages 10 and older.

4) Mug Shot Party ☕

$460 + tax for up to 10 participants
Each additional participant: $39 + tax
Choose from 70+ mugs in stock (up to $39 value)

5) Create Your Own Pottery Package

$520 + tax for up to 10 participants
Each additional participant: $50 + tax
Includes an item up to $45 value
(Participants may choose a higher priced item and pay the difference.)

Suggested for ages Teen to adult with a 2 hour time frame suggested. Client may want to add additional painting time for adults. $50 per 30 minutes. Extra time must be booked in advance may not be able to be added day of due to time restrictions.

Gratuity

Gratuity is not included in party pricing.
A gratuity of 18% or more is added to all parties.

(You may choose to increase this to 20–25% if you wish.)

Party Guidelines & Helpful Info

Drop-Off Party Policy

All parties are drop-off parties. Please let parents know they are welcome to do some local shopping and return when the project is complete for pick-up.

Non-Participating Guests (Adults / Helpers)

Your party package includes space for up to 5 non-participating guests to remain in the studio during the event (this includes you + your partner).

Up to 5 non-participants: included
Over 5 non-participants: $10 per person

Please plan ahead so we can keep the space comfortable for everyone.

Food & “Party Time” (Read Carefully)

Katie’s Clay Studio does not have a food permit, and we cannot serve or assist with food in any way.

If you choose to bring cupcakes, pizza, cake, etc.:

You are responsible for serving everything to your guests
We will not handle food, drinks, or set-up
When your party concludes, please dispose of all garbage in studio garbage cans.

You must bring all supplies needed, including:

plates, cups, napkins, utensils, candles, lighter, cake knife, etc.

We recommend cupcakes, pizza, and individual waters or juice boxes. Please avoid poured drinks and cuttable cakes.

Important Notes:

We do not have a fridge or freezer
Food is allowed only AFTER the project portion of the party
Each party includes 15–25 minutes of “Party Time” after the project for food, cake, gifts, etc.
Staff will not be present during Party Time
If you do not need Party Time, your event may end once the project is completed
Younger groups tend to have more Party Time due a short attention span

Studio Set-Up (No Private Party Room)

We do not have a private party room. Party tables are set up on the clay side of the studio. The main table will have table cloth and painting materials. A additional side table is set up for your usage.

Please note: the studio will remain open to the public, so there may be other guests:

shopping in the retail area
painting in other areas
students working on clay projects near tables

If you would like a completely private experience, a full studio rental is required. Starting at $1500 for 2.5 hour rental. Plus pottery chosen. Minimum purchase of $30 +tax for a minimum 20 to 40 people max. (Plus a gratuity of 18%, You may choose to increase this to 20–25% if you wish.)

Party Bucket Kit (Paint at Home!) 🏡

Can’t get your group into the studio? No problem — bring the pottery party to your home!

Pick your own pottery pieces based on your budget, minimum of 10 projects per bucket. An additional cost of $100 + tax will include:

brushes
glazes
easy instructions

Simply choose and purchase your pottery pieces, pick up your bucket, and let the fun begin!

Helpful At-Home Tips

Keep your painting area clean and food-free
Have everyone wash hands before painting for best results
✅ Pro tip: disposable plates work great for pouring glazes!

Return & Firing Info

Return the bucket and supplies when finished so we can fire your pieces
Missing glaze bottles will result in a $30 fee per bottle
A quick contract will be signed at pick-up
Please allow 48 hours for us to prepare your Party Bucket order
Allow 7 days after drop-off for firing
